Go south on Hwy 212 to Red Lodge, approximately 44 miles. Total travel time: about 1 1/4 hours. Coming from I-90 east (Bozeman) ... at Columbus take Hwy 421 to Joliet and then Hwy 212 South to Red Lodge, approx. 26 miles. Total travel time from Columbus about 1 hour. Coming from Cody, WY... take WY Hwy 120 (Belfry) Hwy 120 becomes MT Hwy 72. In Belfry take MT 308 to Red Lodge. Total travel time about 1 hour. Coming from Yellowstone National Park... from Cooke City, MT take scenic Beartooth Highway 212 north to Red Lodge... approximately 60 miles, but over several winding mountain passes; hence slow travel.
