Sunday, April 25, 2010 - Peaks to Prairie Adventure Race

Peaks to Prairie is a unique race that treats runners, cyclists, and boaters to Montana's last, best habitats.

The 8.8 mile run opens in the rarified air beneath the majestic Beartooth Mountains. Spectators cheer the runners into the resort community Red Lodge for the run-bike transition.

Cyclists will ride 43 miles through farm and ranch country to Riverside Park, south of Laurel. There, boaters will launch onto the last of America's undammed natural waterways for the last 22 miles to the finish at Coulson Park in Billings.

Celebrate the arrival of spring with Beartooth Humane Alliance! Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 1 at the Elks Club (Red Lodge.) This is an event you will not want to miss! Food to delight your tastebuds prepared by Carbon County Steakhouse!

A silent auction of new, fresh, never-before-seen items! Dance or just listen to the high-energy, cool grooving sounds of original and classic Blues, Boogie and Swing tunes by Little Elmo and The Mambo Kings who deliver a show leaving the audience wanting more! Known all over the state, you will become a fan, too!

Tickets ($37.50/per) are available by calling Sharon at 445-0200. All proceeds will be used to assist companion animals in need in Carbon County.

The Red Lodge Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the 2nd Annual Beartooth Home, Health and Garden Show June 5-6 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. After a long snowy winter, everyone's looking forward to getting ready for Summer 2010! Museum Day invites all residents of Carbon County to experience the incredible wealth of history and archives offered at the museum AT NO COST. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to discover our local treasures.

June 12-20, 2010 - Red Lodge Music Festival

The festival is the oldest and most successful music festival in Montana, attracting over 200 students annually from Montana and other states, with talented faculty from universities, colleges, and symphony orchestras from across the nation. What began in 1964 as a week-long camp has expanded to a full-blown, nine-day music festival. Five evening faculty concerts, two evening student recitals, and afternoon band and orchestra performances complete a worthwhile and memorable Festival experience for student, faculty and audience.

Saturday, June 12, 2010 - Annual Beartooth Hospital and Health Center Ball

This year's Ball will be held at the Red Lodge Airport. Those of you familiar with the series M*A*S*H will be able to take part in fond memories of the show including Rosie’s bar, the swamp, the shower, the operating room (with gurneys), the officer’s club, and the mess tent. Expect to be surrounded by Korean-war era vehicles, costumes, and props.

Events for the evening will begin with a VIP Wine-Tasting Reception commencing at 4:30, according to Ball tradition.

General admission to the Silent and Live Auctions follows at 6:30. For the dining pleasure of all attendees, Carbon County Steakhouse will provide an array of delicious and now famous hors d’ oeuvres. Silent and Live Auctions will include offerings of fine art as well as MASH memorabilia. Dancing to live music will conclude the evening.

July 2-4, 2010 - Home of Champions Parade and Rodeo

Join us for the 80th Home of Champions Rodeo featuring some of professional rodeo's top cowboys and cowgirls. Parade held everyday at noon in downtown Red Lodge.

July 10, 2010 - Art in the Beartooths with Signature Artist John Potter

Join signature artist, John Potter, along with 30 other local artists for a full day of painting around the historic train depot and Red Lodge. Enjoy watching artists create and talk with them as they transform a blank canvas into real Western masterpieces. Continue the celebration into the evening under the tents in Lions Park with supper, liquid libations, live and silent auctions, and the opportunity to mix and mingle with artists and other art patrons. Help support the arts and the continued renovation of the 1889 railway depot and caboose.

Saturday, July 24 2010 - Gotta Gig Gotta Go! with Billy Waldo and the Flying Grizzlies

Billy Waldo and the Flying Grizzlies will be performing a benefit concert for the 4th Annual 'Gotta Gig Gotta Go' Stano Bustos Foundation on July 24. Special opening act: singer-songwriter Dennis Erickson.

Band members include: Billy Waldo, Lee Moran, Jimmy Kujala, Todd Loughrie, Pete Burak, Charlie Brandine, and Paul "Dirt" Stauss with special guest Mark Biernbaum.

Parade begins Friday, Aug 6 at 5:30, festivities begin at 6 pm at Lion's Park with traditional ethnic entertainment followed by Boulder Acoustic Society at 8 pm. Saturday, Aug 7 festivities begin at Lion's Park at 11 am with headliners Fishtank Ensemble and the event ends with Igor and The Red Elvises at 8 pm. All ages are welcome!

August 19-22, 2010 - Beartooth Rendezvous BMW Motorcycle Rally

12th Annual Beartooth Rendezvous BMW Motorcycle Rally held at the Lions Camp south of Red Lodge off U.S. Highway 212 (the Beartooth Highway)

August 28-29, 2010 - 42nd Annual Beartooth Run and 5th Annual Beartooth Ride

A 4.2 and 8.4 mile race starting at the foot of the Beartooth Pass and ending at Vista Point. This run ascends 2000 feet in altitude over the eight mile course, breathtaking scenery and a challenge to even the best runners.

On Sunday a time trial/hill climb starts south of Red Lodge, elev. 5500 feet, and climbs the Beartooth Pass, finishing at the Montana/Wyoming state line, elev. 10,350 feet.

Saturday, September 4, 2010 - 7th Annual Red Lodge Fun Run for Charities

10K Run, 5K Run/Walk, 2-Mile Fun Walk, Toddler Trot, Free BBQ.
Cost: Free event registration and t-shirt; Charitable contributions encouraged.
Benefit: Red Lodge Area Charitable Organizations and their Communities The Red Lodge Fun Run for Charities is a community wide event with participants from Red Lodge, Billings, Montana, Wyoming and 13 other states- coast to coast.

Fun describes this annual event where all the work of the Fun Run is a labor of love provided by Volunteers. Sponsors cover 100% of the expenses. Match donors build an incentive fund where the charities grow the direct donations made to their organization. Charities share the passion and mission of the work they perform for the benefit of many. While the event is free, donations to your favorite charities is strongly encouraged.
