This historic lodge has 4 bedrooms, a sleeper den, 2 baths, hot tub, and sleeps 8-10 comfortably. The Rendezvous Lodge of Red Lodge, Montana is a (circa. 1934) log home built from the towering pines that were cleared to make way for the construction of Beartooth Pass. It became the project manager’s home during this historic undertaking in highway building. The Rendezvous offers a true sanctuary to one family or multiple families. Many use the home as a gathering point for reunions, celebrations, workshops and retreats. The kitchen is well appointed, roomy and the counter is enriched with 5 bar stools for all to gather. Here is a galley where it is rare to utter “Get out of the kitchen!” The dining area is conveniently close to the kitchen. With the lodge pole ceilings, wagon wheel chandelier, a nice art collection, comfortable furniture and a stunning hearth, the great room is, well…great. It is a place you’d expect to have a brandy with Teddy Roosevelt or Bill Cody. The 4 bedrooms are tucked away in their own world, with down quilts, and exceedingly comfortable beds. Each has its own esprit, from playful (bunks and kids) to the grand master bedroom, with a walk in closet, built in dressers and a log frame king bed. The Rendezvous is situated in a park like setting, surrounded by low rock walls. The patio, complete with picnic table and barbeque grill looks out towards the Beartooth Range. The hot tub (6 associates, 8 good friends), shares the large patio, and is only a few feet from the door. A stay at the Rendezvous, with its splendid ambience is an experience that touches your soul. Here, the past is always present; it is Montana after all, the last best place.
The Rendezvous Lodge has a bedroom with a king sized bed, two rooms with a double bed in each, a room with two twin beds and the den with a double sized futon.
Our family of 11, ages 2-91, stayed hear over Christmas. The young adults got to go skiing, those who wanted walked downtown, and the older ones sat by the fire. We had all the amenities we needed to cook Christmas dinner with a little improvisation. The hot tub was great after a day of skiing. The managers even came out on Christmas Day to thaw out the pipes and they were very prompt.
We really enjoyed the Rendezvous Lodge over Easter weekend. The lodge was very accomodating for our family group of 11. We enjoyed the daily "Turkey Parades" as well as the deer wandering through.
Along with our extended family varying in age from 2 to 92 our crew of 12 decided to spend the Christmas Holiday enjoying skiing and sight seeing in Red Lodge. Since our preference is for rustic but comfortable and clean accommodations, we chose the Rendezvous. I don't think we could have made a better choice. Although the Lodge is designed to sleep approximately 10 people the Lodge manager was very agreeable to let us bring a couple of fold out cots to accommodate everyone. We did have one minor problem on Christmas morning when the water line to one of bathrooms froze, but after we placed a call, the Rendezvous team was out within an hour or two on this special family day and had it fixed. That's customer service. The remodeling of the lodge inside has been very well done and the kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals, even a family Christmas meal. There was even a high chair which we really appreciated. Lots of firewood was supplied so it was nice to be able to keep a fire in the fireplace as long as we desired. The location was quiet and secluded which we liked. Although it was a bit far for some in our group to walk downtown as cold as it was it would likely be a nice stroll for most during warmer weather. All appliances inside and the hot tub outside worked very well. A very pleasant week of rest, relaxation, visiting and activities for our family.
we loved the cabin ! it was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. covered deck and hot tub awesome before great night sleep in the king size bed. we would stay there again .
This was a very nice house. Very clean and roomy. Only one thing was wrong - the hot tub did not work and yes it was one of the main reasons we rented this place. Other than that - everything was very nice.
Wonderful weekend to meet our Kentucky family coming to visit to Montana! This cabin had everything a family getaway will need. Very comfortable, has everything you possibly need except your own clothing and food. Can't find anything but good to say!
Service from aAa was great everything was taken care of ahead of time so we could enjoy the weekend.Home perfect for a group of friends or family. Rooms all have private doors but are close together so there is some noise transfer.Location was in a quiet area of town not far from everything. Cabin was built in the thirties but upgraded and well kept, perfect for the casual traveller not looking for luxury.
Everyone like the hot tub. The lodge was dirty, cobwebs everywhere and evidently hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long while. The main bathroom sink didn't work and the door didn't lock. The aAa staff was very good at fixing things quickly. The layout was poor. The rooms weren't separated well for multiple families.
AAA Red Lodge Rentals staff appreciates all feedback. The maintenance crew has fixed the lock and the sink. We have given the Rendezvous Lodge a deep clean.
This was the perfect place for a great family weekend. It had everything we needed and could ask for. It was great to have a place where we could all stay together and feel at home. Would recommend this company and property without hesitation.
The Lodge is a very cozy place with a historic background. We took 11 kids snowboarding and spent 3 days and everybody had a great time. Plenty of room for everybody but not a super private setup for the romantically inclined. The bedrooms are sort of a connect the dots type of floor plan. But a super place for a family and close relatives. Service was good and the check in process with aAa was very simple.
Had a good time. we did not know that it was so close to other cabins or houses. That was the only bummer. Comfy on the inside and very relaxing. lots of room for the kids and friends. Liked the fire place best. Liked the neighbors least.
We love this lodge becasuse its right in town and it accommodates a large group of people. Everything we need is already there. Washer/dryer, soap, kitchen utensils and condiments, pots, pans, dishes, extra bedding, everything! All we bring is food and drink. The hot tub is always clean and ready to go. If we have any problems or need anything we just call aAa and they are on their way! We have lodged at this cabin for many years and we always come back.
